We Are In Beta and the Heads Forward network are joining forces to digest the most important, practical steps school leaders need to be taking now to get this right so that no school needs to face these challenges alone.

With a dual focus on the action we can take in each of our own schools, and how we unite our voice to drive conversation at the national level, we'll share their thinking on:

What evidence they will use; how they will collect it; and how they decide weighting for different elements

How they might balance teaching new content with assessment prep and completion

How to keep motivation and morale high for your Yr11&13’s through to the end

Training and guidance they give to subject leaders for awarding grades

What cross-school process they are thinking about to review gradings against previous measures of attainment for individuals, subjects and the school

How they will scrutinise processes to identify and remove bias

What agreements they want to hear from every head to ensure grades are awarded fairly and transparently
