It's so cool to have a new online army of sketchers and patrons who have our back. You are helping turn a freak, strange time, in to something quite special. We love and are listening to your feedback and will continue to come at you each week, newly improved.

You don't need any experience to join our sessions. We will have live tuition, audio and sketching, for beginners - seasoned sketchers, you know I won't be offended if you mute me. Some of you might be thinking "But I don't have any art materials?!" Printer paper, the back of a letter, or even a napkin will do! (Amazon do a good deal on printer paper...).

We are feeling isolated and vulnerable at this strange time, so we have decided that we will be hosting our life drawing sessions live from our living room in Glasgow.

The registration link will be made available via Eventbrite once you purchase your ticket. Please don't share the link around, but encourage friends to buy theirs and join you in the chat room so you can draw together!

Please don't screen grab. We know you won't. Some of the links will be made available for replay, just keep an eye out.

Since 2009 we've been presenting artists with a brilliantly varied mix of life models in venues across Scotland, every week. We gather, often in groups of 70 or 80 people, in bars and night clubs, and we sketch 2 life models. We play some great music and we make sure you have a glass of wine or nice cup of tea in hand. You seem to love it!

You've asked us to bring ATYN to the USA, to Australia and to other parts of Europe and up until now it's been a head-scratcher, since there is only 1 employee in the company (that's me!)

We've found ourselves in a very unusual situation with the spread of the Corona virus, and we don't want to have to turn away our models, our staff, and of course - our audience! So let's give this a shot...

As of now, we will bring you live life modelling sessions which you can access from anywhere around the world. You can drop-in for a one off session, you can subscribe to a course, you can engage via the live chat, or you can sketch in peace at home. I will be your host and we will look to bring artists and other tutors on board regularly to deliver some advice and conversation about drawing techniques.

I think this is going to be a lot of fun and hope you'll join me in developing our life drawing skills online! Let's relax and get creative while we have some down time...
