This talk is a part of our career theme for 2020: Passion, Purpose and Getting Paid - building a career where you can enjoy deeply meaningful work and find that sweet spot where you are at your most fulfilled. Finding purpose in work of course starts with an important contribution to make - a problem that needs solving or an area of service that one is passionate about.

What does it take to do this? What do we learn from the life stories of people who have done this, and how do you take active steps to living your purpose, passionately, while getting paid?

Prof Mamokgethi Phakeng’s career and her approach to leadership, starting from humble beginnings yet achieving excellence at the highest levels of her field, illustrate important lessons for professionals at all levels.

In our conversation, we’re looking forward to exploring an engaging conversation with the LifeCheq community on the lessons to be learnt from her illustrious career and life journey.
