Recently, Zebra movement ally Purpose Network ran a private “alternative” capital raising accelerator to help purpose-driven companies raise capital on terms that truly reflect their mission and values. In this 90 minute workshop, we’ll get a peek into the world of tactics, strategies, and  tools that the Purpose team has developed to drastically improve the fundraising process for Zebra companies.

Purpose Network's mission is to make equitable ownership, governance and finance accessible to entrepreneurs, communities and investors. They have helped mobilise tens-of-millions in capital for companies that are re-orienting their ownership towards the common good.

Derek Razo is a co-founder of Purpose US, and leads investment support services. He has helped dozens of companies raise mission-aligned capital and set up alternative ownership transactions. Previously, Derek has co-founded international open-source projects, worked with the world's largest NGOs to pioneer new models for funding innovation, and helped build technology products used in democratic uprisings and grassroots efforts around the world. He holds a degree from UC Berkeley.

Camille Canon leads Purpose’s US non-profit and supports businesses on converting to steward-ownership. Prior to Purpose, Camille spearheaded a real estate development initiative in Northern California for Urban Green Builders, focused on affordable housing, social enterprise, and community building. She holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College.
