Join us for a virtual screening of the film Braided Prayer, featuring former Council staff member, David LaMotte! The new short documentary from John Kennedy and David Saich tells the story of Abraham Jam, an interfaith folk/world music trio making the case that harmony can be even stronger than unity — that we don’t have to sing the same notes in order to create something beautiful together.

We’ll be joined by Abraham Jam members Billy Jonas, David LaMotte, and Dawud Wharnsby for the screening, followed by a live song from the band and a chance to win some Abraham Jam merchandise!

The band originally came together through an initiative of the North Carolina Council of Churches, and the Council’s Development Director Vanna Fox will interview them live as a part of this presentation. Come celebrate with us!
