Composer, cellist, and producer Paul Wiancko is one of the most exceptional and multifaceted musicians alive today. NPR Music recently wrote “If Haydn were alive to write a string quartet today, it may sound something like Paul Wiancko’s LIFT.” When it comes to Paul, that’s only scratching the surface. On February 4 at 7pm Paul will take us through his journey as a cellist, composer, and producer, and will be joined by his colleague and partner, violist Ayane Kozasa of the Aizuri Quartet. He will show us how he combines his musical training and boundless creativity to write a piece of music… and yes, he’ll actually write something for us during the session!
