Fulfillment and the Future of Work
By TPLCulture
TPL and McMaster University’s Master of Public Policy in Digital Society present: Fulfillment and the Future of Work.
Amazon is redefining the economic geography of America, with similar effects in Canada. The firm is also known for the hectic pace enforced in its warehouses and time-pressures that lead drivers to urinate and defecate in their trucks, and recently had a historic unionization vote. At the same time, the ease of Amazon Prime is fuelling e-commerce and bringing convenience to our doorstep.
Journalist Alec MacGillis will share insights from their new book, Fulfillment: Winning and Losing in One-Click America and UNIFOR economist Kaylie Tiessen will make connections to the future of work in Canada.
